Using Envelope Printers For Brand Management

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Business success can be achieved by using custom envelopes. Companies must make sure their messages set them apart from the competition. They also must make sure their brand is recognized and consistent. This is true of all materials used for marketing purposes, envelopes included. The price does not have to be too high because businesses can purchase envelope printers.

There are a variety of printers available. These can also have a wide variety of price ranges. Although the initial price may seem a bit of a shock, it could be money-saving in the long run. It is also possible to lease them at less than $100 per month. The company will not have to pay for custom envelope printing services. Printers of this sort can print several thousand envelopes at a time. They are also InkJet style printers.

One should be sure that the custom-designed envelopes are a very basic design. This is because the message needs to be the main focus of correspondence. Making an envelope colored instead of plain white. That change alone is sufficient to call attention to the material and make it distinct from other companies.

Envelope printers make it easier to create these envelopes. One can add graphics to these envelopes as well. It is a good idea to limit the graphics, however. Adding a company logo also maintains brand consistency.

Choosing the right size paper is also important. Envelope paper should be sturdy. Talking to a professional printer can help a company in selecting it. Different types of correspondence can be printed as well. Sizes range from postcard size to large clasp envelopes.

Getting envelope printers can help a company create custom envelopes. Custom envelopes help a business stand out from the competition. It also helps to maintain overall consistency in brand and marketing.

The Many Uses For Envelope Printers

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Envelope printers can do a wide variety of tasks. Many times a business will use them to print a large quantity with their company name and logo along with the return address on them. They can also be used for schools or other charity organizations. The printed style looks more professional than hand written or stick on labels.

Using a machine like this will save money and time by allowing workers to be doing many tasks at the same time. The printer can be programmed to print any type of design or logo as well as a return address on the packages. A dedicated machine for doing this is usually preferred especially in cases where many large mailings are being done.

It saves time and energy from switching regular paper to packages. In addition, having a dedicated machine makes it easy to quickly create the package label or address for something that needs to be sent out right now.

There are many different styles that a business can purchase. Many are usable for any size package or label. In addition, most can be programmed for any use. If you have a large mailing to send out for the Boy Scout Troop, you are able to program your printer with their logo and return address. If the following week your Girl Scout Troop has another large mailing, you can do the same.

It is easy to set up a printer of this sort. A dedicated machine is attached to the computer and is selected for printing when the need arises. This leaves the other printer available to do the letters or other documents that need to be sent out.

Having envelope printers set up for just that purpose might be a job to begin with. However the benefits that can be gained by doing so are not measurable. The time that it takes someone to switch out the paper for a single package is incredible.

3 Methods for buying the best printer for your budget

Monday, April 25th, 2011

When you look around for printers, there are plenty of features that you should consider, and the type of printer you buy should match your personal needs. The printers of today are possible with different types of features, but you do not want to purchase a fancy one or one that has more power if you don’t need it. In this article, we’ll be covering some of the characteristics to consider when choosing a printer.

The number of dots per square inch, or the resolution, is the measurement used to ascertain the quality of a printed document or image. Thus, the higher the level of resolution, the higher the quality of the printouts will be. That is the most important number you need to check when you pick out a printer. Printers increase in price as their resolution increases, which means you need to think carefully about how good you really need the printer to be. The majority of the printers manufactured today have a relatively good resolution, even the cheaper ones. You will be able to find the resolution of the printer in the product description if you are shopping online or on the box if you are going to a local store.

Many people need a printer that can be hauled wherever they go. There are mobile inkjet printers that run on batteries, and that can be charged in your car like a cell phone. These printers are capable of connecting to a laptop for on the go printing convenience. These can be used in your car, in a cafe or at the airport or train station, and are very convenient for business travelers. These are only slightly more expensive that ordinary ones but are worth it if you travel a lot.

Your primary question is what will you use your printer for? Consider whether you will use it at home or in an officer where many people will use the same machine. If you have several family members who will be sharing a printer, and they all have different needs, you will need a versatile printer that can perform many functions, such as print in color, print photos and perhaps can perform other tasks as well. If you need a printer to solely do one task it’s best to seek a printer specifically for that task.

Printers can be useful if you choose the best one. Most of us can remember a time when we needed a printer and didn’t have one at the right time. The printer you settle on should meet your needs. We’ve covered some of the features and qualities to look for in modern printers, and it’s always a good idea to do your own comparison shopping before choosing a model.

Ink Refills For The Smart

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Who says you have to spend more money than you have to when you’re printing out hundreds of pages regularly? Brand new cartridges are really costly to buy even the cheapest ones in the market. For a fraction of the price of the new one, you can extend the life of your cartridge with refills. One or two refills are recommended. You don’t have to be throwing out too many cartridges that will cause a lot of garbage anyway. You can buy ink refills online pretty easily so why pay too much for a cartridge when these would work just the same and save you a lot more money in the end? You can opt for this cheaper means but you’ve got to know what you’re doing so you don’t break your printer.

Get refill kits that are compatible with the printer model you’re using. You can’t just swap refills with a totally incompatible cartridge. That would just compromise the quality of your printouts. Printer ink would vary in formula depending on the brand and model and a couple of other things that aren’t worth looking into.

Don’t let your cartridge run empty. I’ve made this mistake a few of times and it just totally messed up the printer. You’d have to run the printer maintenance program a hundred times every time you print something out just so it would temporarily correct the damage done to it by a clogged cartridge outlet.

All ink refill kits come with instructions on how to properly refill your cartridge so do follow it instead of doing guesswork. You will be running the risk of doing damage to your cartridge or your printer head. In case you’ve made this mistake, don’t make things worse by running a few prints. When it’s damaged, contain it within the cartridge so it doesn’t get passed on to your printer. Get a new cartridge in this case.

Don’t make the mistake of putting the wrong colors in the wrong cartridges. That would obviously give very different results in your printouts. Once you’ve done it, you’d have to replace the cartridge. You also want to keep your work area clean so just like painting the walls, cover enough space with a lot of papers or some cloth so your furniture won’t get stained.

What happens now when you get some ink on your hands? They don’t come off with soap alone. You will have to wash it off with a mild bleach solution mixed with water and then wash the bleach off with the soap.

Take advantage of the huge savings to be had in using ink refills. It’s fairly simple how to refill cartridges and it will benefit you in the long run.

Tips To Get Laser Toner Cartridges

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

With the steady growth in the number of foreign and domestic manufacturers in the remanufacturing industry, the cost of laser toner cartridges has been reduced significantly.

Toner

Laser printers that use toner cartridges offer several advantages over inkjet printers. They print much more quickly than inkjet cartridges, and laser toner works on almost any paper type. The typical monochrome (black) toner cartridge yields several thousand pages at far lower cost per page compared to ink based printing. The only downside to laser toner printers is that they cost more initially than inkjet-based printers. Unlike ink, toner is a dry powdery substance. The copier or laser printer’s fuser is responsible for melting the laser toner to create a permanent image on the paper.

When your toner cartridges become empty, you have several options for purchasing a new toner cartridge. Besides opting for a new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) toner supply, you owe it to yourself to try a new compatible brand or remanufactured cartridge. While most all of the major office supply store chains offer their own brand name replacement cartridges, there are now several reputable online retailers offering extremely good deals on ink, toner and copier toner cartridges. Compared to the office supply store chains, which offer minimal savings, online outlets are selling at near wholesale prices with savings in the range of 30-60% off. The price differences between in-store, OEM original supplies and online compatible-generic or remanaufactured cartridges has little to do with difference in quality, but rather the heightened competitive environment of the internet itself. Go online and search for “laser toner cartridges”. Visit a few of the top sites to conduct your own price comparisons.

Compatible vs. Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

While the toner cartridge manufacturing industry is not entirely standards-based, the two terms “compatible” and “remanufactured” are used loosely and are sometimes used synonymously. A compatible toner cartridge is generally a new toner cartridge made with all new parts and components, while a remanufactured toner cartridge is a used or spent cartridge core that has been disassembled cleaned, re-built and tested and may contain up to 90% new components. Both the compatible and remanufactured cartridges are built to, and may exceed, the specific OEM specifications of the printer manufacturer. The industry-leading cartridge remanufacturers often operate under the same ISO-9001 quality systems that an OEM manufacturer might use. A reliable source will ensure that the customer receives good quality products and a satisfactory customer service. As a customer you should only buy a product when you are fully confident about the company and the product it supplies. Before purchasing a new compatible or remanufactured cartridge, check the retailer’s performance guarantee and their product warranty. A good guarantee should cover the entire cartridge life cycle, or the period it would normally be in use. It should warrant the cartridge free from material defects and workmanship. Be sure to read the retailer’s Terms and Conditions of Sale.

One particular area where enormous savings can be had is in purchasing compatible MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) toner cartridges on the internet. These cartridges have a special toner in them that is required when printing your own checks complete with bank routing and account numbers. Good MICR toners can be purchased online at a fraction of the price of genuine. Just be sure any online company you consider buying from guarantees their cartridges meet and/or exceed OEM standards. Look for statements such as “ISO 9001 Certified – MICR toner cartridges will exceed ANSI (American National Standards Institute), ABA (American Banking Association) and CBA (Canadian Banking Association) standards”.

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Do you remember a time when you did not have a printer in your home? There are really useful and generally inexpensive. Ink, and especially ink jet cartridges can be a little expensive.

Choosing the right ink jet cartridge can help you save some money, and below are a few ideas that can help you make a good selection.

The first thing that needs to be done is to check your printer cartridge so you can look for one that is similar to yours. A lot of people forget to do this and get the wrong kind when they head out shopping. This can end up costing them a lot of money.

Also, think about weather quality is more important than price. Your printer comes with high quality ink, but they are also the most expensive. Getting alternatives will be much cheaper, but the quality might not be the same.

You can also save a lot of money buy getting your ink online. This also can save you a lot of time because you don’t have to run out to the store every time you need ink. Not to mention the gas you’ll save.

Try to avoid falling into the trap of deals that are too good to be true. There are plenty of ink discounts and bulk offers that are very cheap but the ink is no good. This can seriously damage your printer, and can end up costing you more money in the long run.

If you get ink that destroys your printer, it will cost you more than you saved when you need to fix or replace it, so avoid those inks. If you are unsure what works for your model, ask your printer’s manufacturer.

One more tip that will save you money and the environment as well is to purchase cartridges that are recycled. You can also get a refill kit and do it yourself. Again, remember that you should only use ink that is specific for your printer if you want top quality.
